Can't install skype as libqt4-core (>= 4.3.4) is not installable

Hello, I am new in Linux, I've been trying to install Skype but haven't been able to. It looks like there is a conflict of packages as I keep getting the following message:
libqt4-core (>= 4.3.4) but it is not installable
I don't know how to get this package installed, and without it I can't install skype. Can anyone please help me?
