Firefox 3.5 ADD ONS

I have installed a clean install of 9.10 and everything is working except I can not get add ons for FF.Get the Add on site then choose my add on but all turns to custard and browser just hangs at "waiting for Mozilla"
after a long wait the add on may come up but then I can get no further.

A few things to try to diagnose the problem:

1. If you create a new test user and log in as that test user, can the test user install add-ons, or does the test user encounter the same problems?

2. Can you install these same add-ons on another computer? Perhaps something is wrong with the add-ons themselves?

3. If you use a live CD of 9.10, does that live session also have the same problems installing those add-ons?

I tried as root and it is still the same.The only add ons I can get are
ones from the home site of the add on as long as I do not get transfered to
the Mozilla site to down load it.I only want 2 more.
I do have the add ons on another 9.10 computer.Is there a folder I could copy to get them on this box ?

Do have a clue why but add ons now back to normal.
