I run 9.10 64 bit and just this morning I tried to log on, but I was given an error message that said, "the configuration defaults for the GNOME Power Manager have not been installed correctly. Please contact your computer administrator." After this, the screen flashed a few times and sent me back to the login screen. I'm very confused as to why this is happening. Does anyone know a way to fix this problem?

Did you install anything recently such as global menu applet?

The most recent software I installed was hplib, but I'm not sure how that would change my gnome defaults. I also recently ran an update, but again, I do not know how this could stop me from logging in.
Perhaps the best solution would be for me to log in using a live 9.10 disc?
