I heard about one. Was it called something like "green gnome" or something. It looked nice for a windows desktop. Maybe if I need to use vegas again, I can use it. Anyone know what i'm talking about?

CyGNOME? The only other one I can think of was the gtlinc port. Though, that was waaaaay back in 2000.

To be honest previous ports were not that good but a small team are currently doing a
Gnome3 to Windows port (run Gnome3 on Windows) and to my knowledge is very
significant
1. because this time they are serious about it.
2. because I know a couple of the team and their capabilities are astronomical.
