Gnome Shell

Has anyone had experience with the gnome shell? I have seen some screenshots of it, and it looks intriguing. But, I am still working on the bugs from upgrading to Karmic, and don't want to brick my machine. What are peoples experiences with the gnome shell? And would it be worth it to install it?

I quite like it!
But i've only played for about an hour.

You can install it from the repositories and use:


gnome-shell --replace

in a terminal.

It's certainly different, but I haven't notice any performance loss yet!
