First of all, hi! I'm new :3

I recently got Ubuntu. It's the only thing I've used for almost 5 days now. I dual boot with Windows 7, but I want to stop. I simply love Linux.

Anyway, I can't figure out how to install it. I try using Wine, but it tells me there's an error and my system "Doesn't meet requirements". This is very sad D:

I really don't want to boot Windows for a video program. What can I do?
Thanks in advance!

I boot windows to use Sony Vegas every time. I cannot run it in Ubuntu and there is no video editor for Ubuntu that is anywhere near as good and easy as Vegas.

Unfortunately, Vegas Pro 9 is not listed in the Application Compatibility DB for Wine, but v8 is. Check out the link below and click the test results to get some installation hints:

Also, never rely solely on Wine.

Things break / work better from version to version - when in doubt go native.
