Hi..
I just upgraded to karmic from jaunty. But when i boot, after the first logo screen it drops to command screen saying something about fsck. Boot then resumes properly.
When I do an fsck, I get this error. How do I correct it?
rohith@messiah:~$ fsck
fsck from util-linux-ng 2.16
fsck.ext3: Unable to resolve 'UUID=a7f41202-9f03-4245-9b18-beffb1786577'
fstab
# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# Use 'vol_id --uuid' to print the universally unique identifier for a
# device; this may be used with UUID= as a more robust way to name devices
# that works even if disks are added and removed. See fstab(5).
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
# / was on /dev/sda3 during installation
UUID=a7f41202-9f03-4245-9b18-beffb1786577 / ext3 relatime,errors=remount-ro 0 1

/dev/sda1 /media/alpha auto defaults 0 0
/dev/sda5 /media/beta auto defaults 0 0
fdisk -l
cannot open /proc/partitions
rohith@messiah:~$ cat /proc/partitions
cat: /proc/partitions: No such file or directory
Thanks
