Hi I am looking for a Linux Magazine which is better for home users and developments, software etc in the Linux Community. I have had a quick look at the Linux format magazine website that seems ok

Can anyone suggest the best magazine for linux?

Thanks!
Dan

I think Linux Format is the best I've found for the non-programmer type... there's a good range of articles in every issue, some are for beginners, some for more experienced users and some for programmers.

I saw an Ubuntu User magazine a few months back in WH Smith, looks pretty interesting too:

Linux Format is a good magazine, feel like they repeat content quite a bit though.... The remixing your distro thing was done not long ago im sure...

User and Devloper looks good, havent actually grabbed a copy yet.

Linux Magazine... Dunno... Bought a few copys and never gelled with it... Just feels poorly written.

Ubuntu Magazine... I would love to praise it but srsly.... It certainly at worth £8....

I am a current subscriber to Linux Journal, but I will get Linux Format if I see it on a zine stand.

Linux Pro is also good but more technically oriented that Linux Format, cheaper too. You can find them at borders and barnes and noble.

Well i guess it depends where you live as to what's available.

LinuxFormat is without a shadow-of-a-doubt the best. It has a fantastic grip on what's interesting to read about - particularly knowing that by the time they print a lot of "news" is fish-and-chip paper.

It's a shame it's a bit pricey though. I guess the DVD with every issue bumps the price up.

Micromart is another fantastic UK magazine - though whilst it's not Linux specific (it's not any OS specific) they cover Linux almost every issue (with some really thought provoking stuff) and it's only £2. Score!
