I used Cheese and Ekiga but both claim of not finding my webcam.

[update]
my webcam seems to be fine using the gstreamer-properties (test webcam in the Video Default Input Plugin) but still, Cheese and ekiga can't find my webcam.
can somebody please help me :(
by the way, I found 2 plugins in the Video's Default Input (Video for Linux 2 (v4l2) & Video for Linux (v4l) - with (v4l2) being the working condition for my webcam) maybe I should try to remove the (v4l) plugin? 'cuz I read somewhere stating 'bout removing the extra plugin but don't know the method of removal.
TQ in advance.
