After Karmic upgrade, eth0 does not auto configure

Each time I reboot, eth0 is not connected, and I have to manually activate the interface through the Network Manager.

In Network Connections the name shows as 'Auto eth0', and the 'Connect automatically' checkbox is checked.

Any ideas?
