I've tested out the first every release of Ubuntu (Ubuntu Warty Warthog) as I mentioned in this thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1324385).
I've noticed a difference with the alternate installer. The current one Installs the packages from cd and doesn't do a reeboot back to setup.
The old one used to ask you setting like time partition etc then copy the .deb files to hard disk and reeboot. Then it prompted to set user and ran a command to install packages with apt-get.
Which one do you prefer the new or the old?
