there were a slew of similar MS vs. consumer news hits when win 7 launched sternly warning that it was illegal to use an upgrade disk for a new clean install.
This line caught my attention though- "A pirated game is copyright infringement, not theft" and "If you're not modding systems for profit or putting your tools online, it's a civil, not criminal, infraction of the law".
How does that translate to pirating music or movies? I see those lame FBI warnings saying how piracy is theft, which I wholly disagree with, but that's another discussion...
