Hi,

So, how do I install Adobe Flash on Firefox in Ubuntu 9.10 x64bit?

I'm sure this must be covered in detail somewhere around here but I couldn't find anything straight away so I was wondering if anyone could point me to the right thread?

Thanks

Go in Applications -> Software Centre

They are divided in categories, I believe it was in Accessories. It's first in the list because it starts with Adobe.

You will figure it out from there. :)

Well - from the first page on the UF ;) there is a link for 64 bit users:

http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=343

at the top of that thread is this thread:

Wow! Look what happens when we read the first page of the UF! :KS

Imagine what else you could find if you read the links in my sig.

Hope this helps.

I forgot about the Software Center in Karmic.

Well, the problem is that Adobe Flash is a 32bit software so it doesn't work in a 64bit environment out of the box...

So the question is how do you get it to work?

Please read my reply.

There is 64 bit Flash player available for Linux from Adobe.

I use 64 bit Ubuntu and have used the version directly from Adobe since it was released.

I do not know too much about Adobe but my Ubuntu is 64bit too. Haven't noticed problems with flash.
