Ubuntu 9.10.Please see the attached image. The menu items are grey boxes instead of words. The drop down menus are the same. It reminds me of a problem in x-org which was sorted by following this link http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1204733.
Is this the same problem again?
