Sorry if this neo-noob (used ubuntu a while back, got lazy with Windows and have come back to the fold) hasn't searched hard enough but I did search for a while and couldn't find the answer.

Jaunty (9.04)
Gnome with Visual Effects set to "None"
Four desktops, one monitor

The little represenation of the desktops is down at the bottom, right of my screen (bottom panel). I am continually impressed by the way that it changes in real time to represent the layout of a particuar desktop. I can have many browsers open on one desktop, downloading stuff on another and backing up files on a third, etc.

I have the Auto-Hide settings just about right.

One feature that I think would be great would be if I hovered over the desktops icon if it were to zoom in or magnify to show just a bit more detail.

Have I just not searched hard enough, is it already available or is it something to think about?
