I installed Karmic. I switched to Mint. I installed Karmic over it. I switched to Fedora. Then finally, I decided to stay with Karmic.

Then, I updated. Then I installed KDE. Then I removed Gnome. Then I installed Gnome. Then I removed Gnome. I stayed with KDE. Somehow the ugly chocolate Xsplash was gone. Thats right. Just the neat Kubuntu logo with the slim blue loading bar. Which stays for only a couple of seconds Boot times are now as good as (if not, better) than Jaunty. Before the disappearance of Xsplash, it was much longer.

I might be wrong, but Kubuntu doesn't have Xsplash. However, isn't the weird chocolate Xsplash meant to come up in Kubuntu?

Anyhow, I'm not worried. Boot times are awesome!
