View Full Version : Haven't got any workable answers yet

Good Morning,
New to Linux, but learning.
I'd like to know what files I'd need to make a Ubuntu boot floppy. I've tried all the answers that I got on the regular Ubuntu forums, Toms, netistall, Google, other Linux forums etc.
They do not work, so maybe here I can get the question answered here.

I have 6 Intergraph 8000 servers(toys) that cannot boot from the SCSI cd. They have 8 SCSI drives, Mega Raid, floppy, SCSI CD. There is NO option in the BIOS to change the boot order, talked to the OEM to verify that even a BIOS flash will not correct-change this.
They have NO O.S. were designed to work with N.T.3.5 through 2000.
The hardware is all Ubuntu/Linux compatible and I could use free BSD, and will if I cannot get a workaround for this problem. I'd prefer NOT to install another OS just to get the Ubuntu installed.
I'd just like to know what files I need, and clear instructional steps to make my own boot floppy for these machines.
Anyone have the answer?

Could you be more specific about exactly what you tried so far that didn't work for you? It's difficult for me to attempt a good efficient answer without knowing what you already tried that failed with your systems.
gentle day,
