I'm a KDE girl but I'm trying out the Live CD and got a broadcom 4312 wireless working much easier than the other versions. Argh, rss-glx isn't available in Karmic. I just love the screensavers found in that. I know there are some opengl screensavers available but rss-glx has some different ones. I'm going to report this being as a bug. I open Synaptic and do a search for rss-glx and nothing comes up but when going to packages.ubuntu.com for karmic I see a deb file.

Nevermind, I solved my own problem.

Why not post the solution for the sake of someone having the same issue and searching the forums later on?

I checked all the repositories using synaptic, did a reload and looked for rss-glx again. I found it this time and install it using the Live CD.

I installed 9.10 on my laptop with 8.04 kde and now I can't use the wireless with 9.10. The Broadcom STA wireless driver will not activate once I installed it to the hard drive but I would activate the Broadcom STA using the Live CD.
