I was wondering why?

When I use Xfce, It can play audio from more than one app. Why is this, as when I use gnome it doesn't do this. I even tested by playing music through amarok and rythm box, while playing a flash movie on hulu, and all three audio feeds worked perfectly. Why does this work with one WM and not another? I just cannot figure it out. Any theories or thoughts appreciated.

I don't know of the exact reasons, but I had the same problem in KDE when I had mis-shuffled the priority order of my sound devices.

I find that when I prioritize PulseAudio, everything works fine :)
