I have installed ubuntu 9.04 using wubi on my computer having Windows XP. However, it is not connecting with internet. I use ADSL/router with ethernet card.
A few months ago I had installed ubuntu8.04 (again using wubi) and it was working fine. I then uninstalled it after sometime. And now I dont know why it 9.04 is not connecting.
I tried one thing: I removed the MAC address from the 'auto eth0' connection. When I did that it started saying that it is connected but whatever URL I type just gets stuck forever without the page loading.
I am also not able to install any package e.g. php and get an error like 'package not found' when it try sudo apt-get install php5-cli. I suspect it is because of the internet connection problem but do not know.
