Good Morning
Due to a freeze problem I was having with 8.04, I decided to try upgrading to 8.10. During the upgrade, of course, my system froze. I was able to restart the upgrade and finish it without freezing, but now atftpd is broken. The Update Manager is telling me I have 1 update that needs to go in (atftpd), and Synaptic won't let me install other programs until I install atftpd. Unfortunately, since atftpd is broken, the upgrade won't work. I get the following error when I try:
E: /var/cache/apt/archives/atftpd_0.7.dfsg-5_i386.deb: subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 127
The terminal output that follows this message is attached as a picture, since it wouldn't let me copy/paste.
Any ideas (short of wiping the harddrive and reinstalling)? Does someone know how to surgically fix this? I'm also open to upgrading the 9.04 if that would work.
Thanks
Bryce
