ok, I'm trying to install 9.10 and I'm running into a weird issue. I just used this disc on another computer, so it's not the disc. It's an old HP Pavilion (about 8 years old).
Here's what happens: When I tell it to boot to the live CD or when I tell it to install Ubuntu directly, it will go through the load up process and display the desktop for 2 to 3 seconds, then it flashes back to a loading screen. The progress light (or bar thingy, whatever you want to call it) goes left to right 3 times, then it gives me a dialog box with nothing in it. That dialog box is there for 2 or 3 seconds and then it's back to the loading screen. It loops infinitely between those two screens. Anybody seen this before?
