I turned on my laptop, and my wallpaper was shifted to the right half way across the screen. My AWN bar still lays over the left side of the screen and open programs/windows have no trouble on either side. But the left side of the desktop keeps an afterimage of things which lay over it, and is a bit jumpy in general. Its usable but super ugly!! does anyone know how to move the desktop/wallpaper back to fit the screen properly.

I'm on a Dell XPS laptop, with a Nvidia driver, compiz and Ubuntu 9.10. If i can provide any more info that would help just speak up.

Thanks

hi nstorrs

my suggestion would be disable compiz to see if thats the problem
