I have installed 8.04 on a Toshiba Laptop using the command line option and all went well and then when I boot it, grub works, starts up, loading etc then I get to Running local boot scripts, Ubuntu 8.04 toshiba tty1, Toshiba login:
My question is what do I enter here to login, during the install I entered my user name and created a login password but this does not work. Help please.

You login with your username and password, there is nothing else. Make sure CapsLock is off, because Linux is case sensitive.

If you forgot your password, you can reset it: http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/resetpassword

Try logging in as root not your user name.
