I just installed 9.10 on a old (slightly worn) Dell desktop and now it won't boot from the hard drive. Install went fine, I ran the updater, and installed TuxGuitar.
Rebooted and nothing. Grub flashes a message like it’s starting but the screen goes blank right away.
First time I thought it was a failing hard drive so I replaced it (not a new one but not a coffee can with marbles).
When I boot from the CD and select the boot from hard drive option the computer boots fine and everything runs great (until I re-boot it).
I’m not sure where to look for answers – what log files should I be looking at?
