Today my update manager did its usual thing, and while I was installing the new packages there was a GRUB update menu asking if I should switch to the package maintainer's version, or keep the local version. Since the latter was the default choice, I did that.
However, after doing some reading around I think perhaps I should have chosen to install the maintainer's version? Is there a way to go back and do this through synaptic or would it be a lot more complicated now?
