Running: ubuntu karmic koala on a HP DV-6700 laptop.

I've had this issue since ubuntu ibex.

I have a strange problem with window switching. Simply put, when I alt-tab between certain windows within a single workspace, the keyboard input for one of the windows gets killed. I generally have to kill the application and relaunch to get my keyboard input back. I think it usually happens while I'm running firefox.

Typical scenarios:

Alt-tab between Firefox and gnome-terminal: kills keyboard input on gnome-terminal
Alt-tab between Firefox and openoffice spreadsheet: kills keyboard input on openoffice spreadsheet

Where I *don't* have a problem:

Putting the windows on different workspaces and ctrl-alt-arrowing to them by changing the workspace
Selecting the windows from the taskbar instead of using alt-tab

Also, I use compiz fusion (I haven't tried turning that off yet) so could that have something to do with it?

Any help? I've searched around the forums, but don't see other people with the same issue.

Thanks.

Bump. Nobody else has had this problem?
