reach the failed stage of installation in karmic koala

hi, I was installing karmic koala but the stage of install grub failed, so I have to reboot my pc, my question is:

is there a way to reach that grub installation part again to retry or get the specific error message?

Can you boot from your Live CD?

Sorry, I forgot to said that I've installed karmic koala using the "minimal cd" option,this iso was installed in my usb and from it I followed the installation process.
