Hello all, I've just installed 9.10 on a freshly formatted drive on a older laptop of mine.
Everything went fine with the installation from a USB key that I made by using unetbootin 3.77 but at restart, when I'm at the GRUB loader and select anything, I get this

error: no such device: xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
where the x's are letters and numbers

I tried the install again, hoping there was some option that I overlooked or something and checked the bootloader install location in the advanced menu just before file installation. I didn't change anything as the boot loader was set to install on the hard drive...

Any info would be greatly appreciated as I'm not so familiar with the command line mode.

Thanks in advance

It is a fresh install so there shouldn't be any problems...
but correct me if I'm wrong but is the bootloader not "seeing" the active drive? There's only one hard drive and the installer did the partitions over the whole of the drive...

anyone? what could it be and a possible fix?
I can always retry the install, or boot the LiveUSB
