I was wondering if anyone out there would like to help me create a desktop applet for grouping like processes in a tabbed window format much like Mozilla and Chrome do.
For example I have if I have 3 emacs operations running (I do realize that emacs is capable of window splitting, but this is sometimes a pain in the butt), I could have a browser window bordering an emacs window with 3 tabs for the separate buffers. The same would be true for any other like process such as if I have 2 terminals open, or even two of the same internet browsers open....you get the idea.
Does this already exist as an applet?
If not can anyone help me impliment this idea. I can program in C, C++, and Fortran, but am a bit unfamiliar with Linux system calls at the moment.
