So a few years ago, my dad got this little laptop and sent it into emperor linux to install Fedora 3 on it. Now I want to install Ubuntu on it because Fedora is barely working and yum is so out of date if can't even be update. Not to mention that sudo is no longer available for the main user. So me and my dad are trying to figure this out, he is currently trying to hack into the laptop with BackTrack 4 to enable sudo for me again, while I am tasked with installing.

So how do you install Ubuntu on a Laptop without an external Cd drive or a usb drive that reads thumb drives. Did I mention that Network boot isn't on the ancient BIOS of this system?
