Hi, I just ran the upgrade to 9.04 and didn't hang around to watch it. When I came back, the upgrade screen had gone, but it hadn't rebooted like i thought it would, i'd just lost my theming.
So I decided to reboot and grub still says 8.10, but I get the 9.04 splash screen and prompt to login.
Once I login, nothing happens, it just sits there on a beige screen.

Halp?

Have you already tried the recovery mode from grub??

Officially, you'll need to update to jauntu (9.04) first, before upgrading to karmic (9.10)

No, it was very late so I just posted this thread and hit the hay. It'll be the first thing i try when i get home.

OK, I was infact upgrading to 9.04 - i just did it from the update manager's new distribution button. All these 9.10 threads must have confused me in my delerium.
