hello evrybody...
can i ask a manual on how to partition in ubuntu 6.10 because after installation i just selected the whole drive for the whole system and after restart it says error on 15GRUB loading..

Is there any particular reason you are installing 6.10. It is no longer supported and has not received any security update for a year or two. I would suggest installing a more recent release. As far as question googling it may help. Not very helpful Iknow but 6.10 was before my time.

oh i see...tnx for that sir..
i just want to install 6.10 because the computer lab here in school are only having a minimum of 256 mb ram..
but i dont know how to partition it exactly unlike in windows which is very easy to install..

why not use 8.04? 6.10 does not have updates supplied anymore. 8.04 can be run on 64Mb ram. and updates are still provided till 2011

ok tnx sir .. where could i download an ubuntu 8.4 iso that doesnt have any error or bugs on it??

8.04 is an LTS version so it is very stable.
go to http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download and click on 'alternate download options, including ubuntu installer for windows'.
then select 8.04 and download.
no need to call me sir.. i am only 17 ;)
