I can't believe it, it seems like I've been using Firefox forever.

Remember where it came from though:

NCSA Mosaic was released on 22 April 1993.
Mosaic Netscape was released on 14 November 1994, using NCSA Mosaic's code (with permission from NCSA).
Netscape Communicator was open sourced on 22 January 1998.
Mozilla 1.0 was released on 22 June 2005.
Mozilla was forked into Firefox (not the original name) and Thunderbird on 3 April 2003.

The rest is history. :D

So did I, I used it back in 2003 when it was still firebird 0.6.
It was quite primitive then though, 0.8 was quite a bit better.

I guess I use since 0.8 or 0.9, but I'm not sure. I definitely remember using 1.2. Anyway, is more than 5 years, that's for sure.

I started digging firefox when it was 0.7, I was off an on with it though as i used mozilla suite too.

Congratulations to the Mozilla Team, and thank you for the wonderful browsing experience. Even though I switched to Midori on my home machine, I still use Fx at work, it is still one of the best browsers around

I realise that this is the we love firefox fan club, but does anyone else think it's a big pile of poo on linux, I mean kudos to the mozilla corporation for turning the netscape navigator code into a great browser, but it really is only a great browser on windows, with ubuntu/xubuntu it runs like a dog, and google gears doesn't work properly anymore, but I guess thats more to do with google pushing chrome, I wonder how much longer they'll bank roll mozilla?

I run Firefox 3.5.4 with 40 extensions and it works great. See my tutorial Firefox optimization and troubleshooting thread (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1193567).

The only complain I have is about flash, but that sucks on every linux browser.
