How many visitors do you get?

I'm just curious about this...

When I created this User ID my purpose was to learn about Linux/Ubuntu and be able to get advice etc. I really haven't done much with my page as that was not my purpose. Not that I'm against anyone who has but I never done anything there myself. I never really paid much attention to visitors to my page either until quite recently and I was quite suprised.

So the part of the bottom which says "last 10 visitors! informs me that I've had almost 260 visits. Not an issue really but I was suprised since there's nothing to see and any contact I've had with people has been on the forum itself. Now if I understand it correctly the last 10 visits are in alphabetical order? Tthere's only six names there, of which four are moderators/staff (the red ones right?) So of these 260 visits it has to one or several people coming back again and again! But as I said there's nothing really to see so I have to wonder why? Maybe I should be flattered LOL!

Anyway none of this is a problem but I'm just curious if others in my situation have the same experience?

Well thanks you LOL. Me just posting this question seems to have initiated several new visits! But I still wonder what was attracting the same people and mods over and over back to my empty page? But what the heck... Its nice to liked!

I remember reading - but I can't remember exactly where - that too many visits from the mods may not be a good sign. Mind you, because the last 10 are in alphabetical order, those mods might have visited on different occasions several weeks apart and I'd have no way of knowing.

Perhaps one of the mods/admin can enlighten us?

Yeah, I remember reading that too. probably they come to check your posting history if you get reported or show up on their radar for any other reason, ...

Not necessarily - the last time I had a huge number of mods visit my page, I was asked if I'd like to be a mod :)

Your page says you've had 285 visits. Maybe it's all by those same 7 people.

I wonder if your own visits count toward the number of visits. My page is usually my starting point for the forums, so I've probably upped my own number if they do.

I imagine it would be for doing stuff that is against the CoC.

Well after posting this question it triggered a bunch of visits to my "empty" profile, just because I guess. However, once that settled done again it revealed the individual who is always visiting my profile. I must admit I feel guilty there's nothing really to see. But I take it as a compliment and you are indeed very welcome :)

EDIT: BTW I'm not worried if the forum staff swing by from time to time. I'm sure that if they spot something I've contributed that's of concern, they'll give me the equivalent of a clip round the ears or a friendly kick in the pants.
