Remix on eee1000h install problem

I'm trying to install Karmic Koala Netbook Remix on eee1000h (dual boot)

Used UNetBootin -- created bootable USB all ok.

Netbook remix boots fine all ok.( on the USB stick)

Problem is, in install I get an error message as partitioning is about to start :-

First this message :- which I think sounds ok

Warning:- This will destroy (etc)

The partition of the following devices are changed:
SCSI1(0,0,0) (sda)
SCSI1(0,0,0) (sdb)

The folowing partitions are going o be formatted:
partition #5 of SCSI1(0,0,0) (sda) as ext4
partition #6 of SCSI1(0,0,0) (sda) as swap

then install (button)
I get the message
Failed to unmount partitions
The installer needs to commit changes to partition tables, but cannot do so because partitions on the following mount points could not be unmounted:

/cdrom (curious as there is no cnrom)

please close the applications using these mount points.

(I am not running any applications -- only the install)

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated -- thanks
