i recently upgrade to 9.10, but the resolution is not working, I can only get 800x600.

I started 3 threads, and read about other people with similar problems. All dead ends.

There was nothing wrong with 9.04, I just thought I would be neat to see what the new version is like. And none of the new features matter to me if I have the view them in 800x600.

I'm about ready to give up on getting the resolution to work. So I just want to go back to 9.04.

I know how to just reinstall the OS, but I'm hosting a website, and I spent a lot of time setting up the port forwarding, and databases. and i would prefer to not do that over again.

How do I down grade to 9.04 with out loosing my settings.

You don't -- a reinstallation is needed.

However, some folks have claimed that if you back off the complete contents of /home (including all hidden files), do a reinstallation, and then selectively restore /home files and folders, you can get your settings back.

Haven't tried it -- can't vouch for it.
