I just installed ubuntu and i cannot get internet. I tried setting up my wireless connection but still no internet. I think its cuz i need to install my Linksys adapter software, but unsuccessful on that. I cant even open the setup.exe file. I need to know what i can do. I dont have any way to run a chord from my router. Is there any way i can do this without that? Please help. Im very frustrated. THANKS

You can't install your Linksys software: Linux is not MS Windows.

However, if you do a search in the networking subforum on the make and model of your Linksys adapter, you may find some threads where folks got it working using NDISWrapper.
