upgrade from8.04 to 9.10

Hello All

Will I need to save photos and other documents befor I upgrade from Unbuntu 8:04 to 9:10?

The other computer saved ever thing going from 9.04 to 9.10. But I read that 9.04 was set up to do a smooth update.


So lucky to have Ubuntu!

You don't "need" to but you would be very foolish not to.

You'll also need to upgrade in increments, ie, first to 9.04, then to 9.10.

Thank you I have backed up all that I want to save. I will be making another post to check on the diffrence of an install vs an update.
