Ubuntu 9.10 login changed????? help

hey on my ubuntu 9.10 the login screen used to be black and i really like the black one but after i ckicked on the use high contrast it changed to white and i cant change it back???

can someone please tell me if i can change it back

I have the same problem. Fist the logon looked nice, but when i clicked on high contrast. After i unmarked it but the look did not returned.

The solution is simple — you need to re-install gdm. Either fire up Synaptic, search for gdm, and then mark it for re-installation, or do sudo aptitude reinstall gdm in a terminal.
