Under 9.04 and previous versions I always ran in 1600x1200. After upgrading to Karmic that was no longer an option in display preferences. I re-added it with xrandr following the directions here http://www.linuxreaders.com/2009/11/04/change-ubuntu-9-10-resolution/ but now when I switch to 1600x1200 the monitor set to 100% width doesn't fill the screen, just the center 80%. I know the monitor is capable of this resolution so what am I missing, and what was changed?
