Hello everybody, I've just decided to pass to Linux World and abandon the Dark Side.
But I've come across some problems during the installation: following a friend of mine's advice, I chose Kubuntu 9.10. I've tried to install it, but suddenly the installation went off at 98% of the work.
I add some details: about hardware (Intel Pentium 4, 2.60 GHz - 1 GB DDR RAM) and about the OS (I already have Windows XP installed on my PC, I divided my HD into 2 parts, the Windows part and the Kubuntu part). That friend advised me to try and download the Alternate version of Kubuntu 9.10... Do you have further advice? (maybe some incompatibility of Kubuntu versions with my hardware?)
As you maybe have understood, I'm not so good at this kind of jobs...
