Installed Ubuntu 9.10 and Crashed
Hi, I am using Laptop which has 2 HDD's. I was using Vista and thought to switch over to Ubuntu and I did that. After installing Ubuntu I thought to move my data from HDD2 to the main folders of Ubuntu, I moved my Pictures, Music, Videos to the respective folders in Ubuntu.
After doing all these things I am facing problems, after 3-4 hours of switching over to Ubuntu my Laptop crashed and whenever I turn it on there is nothing.
So I thought to boot it from Live CD, I did that and after booting up I thought to copy all my data to the second HDD, here I am stuck, I don't know what to do?
I can see Filesystem drive and when I click it, it opens up and I thought all my files will be in HOME folder and tried to copy it and paste it in the second HDD, I get error message "I don't have permission".
I tried in Google and its been 5 hours no Idea what to do. So please tell me how to copy all my contents to second HDD after booting from Live CD.
