What does your screen name say about you?

My screen name is AlphaLexman on many websites,

My dog's name is Lex (after Lex Luther, aka Superman comics) and he is a male.
My wife and I have another dog, her name is Abby, but her nickname is AbbyGirl.
I try to be the Alpha dog to both of them... hence AlphaLexman (and it wasn't taken already)
We also have a tabby cat, and his name is Hobbes after the comic strip Calvin and Hobbes.
His nickname is HobbesCat.

absolutely nothing.

it was/is a snowboard jacket manufacture like a decade ago. and the number.. is.. just random. And it is easier not to change it, there have been a good bunch of times where I have gone to a website and not sure if I have an account, and then supply my normal credentials for web accounts I don't really care about and to my surprise I have an account already.

I barely care what my screen name is, and I assume other people barely care what my screen name is too.

Mine is a reference to my favorite hobby and passtime, clogdancing. It's a raucous, noisy form of percussive precision dance. People think of it as a sort of "Hillbilly Riverdance."

I'll leave mine as an exercise to the reader.

Hint: it's much easier to guess with a little heavy metal knowledge.

Dark Aspect

My username means that I have a very dark cynical aspect on life. I think that nothing good every happens and that most of every one here will die alone.

I suffer from depression in case anyone hasn't noticed.

infestor
November 8th, 2009, 01:01 AM
i was a die-hard diablo II player and there was this boss on act IV in diablo's sanctuary called "infector of souls"...and my nick is a derivative of that.
i realize that there is a unit also in starcraft II called "infestor"...nice coincidence :)

Every man is born alone and dies alone. It is in between those two events that we get to share the planet. In between those two:

True love ’s the gift which God has given
To man alone beneath the heaven:
It is not fantasy’s hot fire,
Whose wishes soon as granted fly;
It liveth not in fierce desire,
With dead desire it doth not die;
It is the secret sympathy,
The silver link, the silken tie,
Which heart to heart and mind to mind
In body and in soul can bind.

Lay of the Last Minstrel. Canto v. Stanza 13. Sir Walter Scott.

My screen name here is simply my name. My usual screen name is Hiero2. I thot about using Kao Ho Lee, but I didn't think most folks would get it.
Hiero was a protagonist in an SF series of books, as was Lee Ho.

Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keeper_of_the_Seven_Keys,_Pt._1) :)

beastrace91
November 8th, 2009, 01:10 AM
Beastrace, refers to the "Beast Races" you could play in the elder scroll's games (Morrowind mainly). & 91 is the year I was born. On most places I register these days I use my name (jeffhoogland) or just Jeff91. But I created this account awhile ago - so alas the odd user name stays :)

I liked metal back then.......jeeez that`s over 20 years ago :???:

The only metal I still (very occasionally, but still do) listen to is a couple of Judas Priest albums and Keeper of The Seven Keys.

Oh and a load of KISS (my wifes) if they count.

As I`ve joined this thread I`d better play....

My screen name means I don`t have to hide my beans or explain that I have no idea what I`m talking about in my sig.

And it was also the title of the song that was playing on my computu when I joined the forums.

Crunchy the Headcrab
November 16th, 2009, 11:38 PM
It says that at the time I was really into the Half-Life series. Half-life has little aliens that attach themselves to peoples heads and take over their bodies. They are called headcrabs. Crunchy sounded like a good name for a headcrab. Nom nom nom crunchy.

alphaniner
November 17th, 2009, 12:07 AM
alphaniner is from the opening cinematic to the game Master of Orion II. I have been using it on techy and sci-fi forums for 10+ years. I also discovered long after I had adopted it that it fits with my real name: first starts with A, remainder plus last = 9 more letters.

There's also Greylocke, which I got from a character in Raymond Feist's books. If you are familiar with Feist, you'll probably be able to guess where I use that name. ;)
