Hi folks,
I recently upgraded to 9.10 from 9.04. After upgrading I decided to try and use the ATI drivers once again. After trying them out I decided to go back to the open source drivers, so I disabled them through the "Hardware Drivers" dialog. After rebooting again Compiz was not enabled. Everytime I try to enable it through the "Visual Effects" dialog it says "Desktop effects could not be enabled".
I have a Thinkpad w500 with a Mobile Radeon HD 3650.
Anyone have any ideas on what's wrong, how to debug, or how to fix this?
