View Full Version : [ubuntu] 8.04 -> 9.10, adept-manager doesn't launch

I found a page describing how to do this upgrade

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/KarmicUpgrades/Kubuntu/8.04 (http://https//help.ubuntu.com/community/KarmicUpgrades/Kubuntu/8.04)

after some more faffing with the package manager I got adept-manager and managed to run it with the right priveliges

(konsole, gksudo adept-manager, right?)

Anyway, adept manager - whatever that might be - fails to appear.

Is there another way to do this upgrade without wiping user settings & files? (ie from the CD?)
