I know how to make a single PNG image into a cursor in Linux, but I was wondering if it's possible to make an animated cursor for Ubuntu? When I was using Vista, I made a cursor which was basically the normal Aero cursor, but lime green instead of white, and I want to make that my cursor set for Linux, but I'm not sure how to create an animated cursor.

I want to know how to create my own animated cursor, not download ones other people made.

OK

Download some animated cursers from gnome-look.org, to see how they made it. If any problem occurs you can ask directly for help.

Figured out how to do it.

Download xcursorgen, and it will allow you to very easily create both static and animated cursors!
