Hello everyone, I just upgraded to Ubuntu NBR 9.10 from 9.04, running with an Intel video driver on a Netbook. I was suffering from terrible video performance in 9.04 and went through a bunch of troubleshooting steps to get it to run somewhat decently.

The problem is that I don't remember what I did at this point. I believe my performance issue in 9.10 is related to possibly regressing the Intel driver to 8.10 version or xorg.conf issue.

What's the best way for me to reset the Intel driver version and xorg.conf to the default for 9.10? I tried following the methods in this post, but my xorg.conf did not get rewritten:

running the following command removed the old driver and reinstalled the new driver:

apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-intel

i still have issues with flash video playback. it is jerky and smokes my CPU. i thought that 9.10 fixed these problems with the intel driver?
