View Full Version : [ubuntu] BrightQ installation after 9.10 fresh install

I was using BrightQ Pro 2.4 with Jaunty successfully. A few weeks ago, I did a fresh install of Karmic Koala. Now, the installation of BrightQ seems to stop responding. It seems like I can click the cancel (or Readme) button, but the windows appearing are totally grey. It looks like I can also close the program by guessing what the dialog boxes would be saying and where the buttons might be located.

Anyone facing this problem?

Thanks

I have this problem as well.

Can someone please help me to install BrightQ in 9.10? I have a anon imagerunner 5055/5065 on the network (with a ID/password) and want to be able to print to it.

I found the fix - the program needs to be run as superuser (sudo -i). I am happily using a networked imagerunner 5065 now.

I can't get it to install. It hangs after the Expert/Recommended settings page. Anything special required here. Oh yeah, my system is 64bit, is that the problem?
