Ubuntu 9.10 cannot be installed on ASUS M2N68-AM - motherboard - micro ATX - GeForce 7025 and Processor AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+, 2600 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s). The display fails. Can someone help urgently?

"ASUS motherboard do not support UBUNTU" This was said by support personnel of India from support.asus.com

I have the same problem... what could it be?
I get a yellow mesh screen failure at install...
is very rare, I checked the RAM and the CD integrity and they are OK... I used the same CD to install on an ASUS M2N68-AM deluxe and it works fine...
but on my M2N68-AM the screen fails
